Challenge: When this hospitality group started working with Jaime Job, it had no clear picture of production, revenue, or sales across the hotel collection. The data used throughout the company was inaccurate, based on unverified information from multiple systems at various hotels. Solution: Jaime began by visiting each of the company’s hotels around the world, spending multiple weeks at each. She audited the hotels and then analyzed every process in the organization to determine gaps in the way data was collected and used. She also identified gaps in major business processes throughout the hotels. Jaime then performed a Delphi utilization analysis and found that the hotels had, on average, only a 32% utilization of Delphi. Jaime personally retrained the staff at each hotel to reinforce best practices for Delphi, establish new work process standards across the hotel collection. Aamaze reporting was integrated in the sales system to allow for dramatically improved forecasting, giving corporate the ability to track sales and catering at each hotel.
Impact: The average utilization of Delphi across these hotels went up by 58 points, climbing to over 90%. An audit is now performed on a quarterly basis to ensure that this number remains high. As a result of training with Jaime, there is consistency among staff throughout the organization, increased employee retention, and clear expectations for work standards. The company’s new data warehouse now houses accurate data based on automated Aamaze reports. The company is able get real-time information on the success of sales and catering at each individual hotel.
